A day in the life of Halo's Master Chief, part one.

The Master Chief stole a peak around the corner... good. They were on their way. A handful of grunts and jackals, easy kills. A pair of elites, though it might be difficult to get the one with the plasma sword. And last but not least--
"They have hunters." Cortana said, and he wondered if she really did anything but state the obvious.
"That's what these are for," he whispered in reply, taking out a few grenades.
He backed against the wall, readying his first grenade.
Though he was doubtful about the mental capacities of some of these Covenant races, he knew the elites were smart. They should know better. Oh, how religion blinds, he thought. He closed his eyes. All these pointless deaths.... the blood on his hands--
--no. No time to dwell, not now. He had to throw the grenade. Kill or be killed. He activated the grenade and launched his attack.

Somewhere around 20 hours of work, though a fair portion of that was me staring at the picture making sure I liked how it was going so far. Please excuse the sloppily drawn covenant forces, they were too small for me to put a lot of detail in them. References include pictures on the web and my spartan doll, though almost all poses are original.
2B graphite pencil, HB .9 and .7 mechanical pencils.
I think this paper is too gritty. And that my scanner kinda sucks......

I am decently proud of how this turned out. this is my first almost completely original piece. usually my pictures are copies of preexisting works, but this one isn't. I look forward to doing the other two of this series.
